Keeping Stockton Families Safe
As a strong supporter of the men and women who keep our families safe, public safety will always be my top priority. We need better incentives for police officers and support personnel recruitment while ensuring we retain veterans who have proudly served our community. We also need to invest in modern tools for both fire and police to ensure the safety of those who protect our community.

I have proudly worked with the District Attorney and Stockton Police to provide services and assistance to high-crime areas through food, clothing, and toy giveaways. Following those events, crime dropped in that area. We must never forget that hope, kindness and support are great antidotes to crime.

Addressing Stockton’s Homeless Crisis
I have seen firsthand the plight of Stockton’s homeless. When I founded Bread of Life, I had already spent many days and nights serving Stockton’s unhoused population while providing them with fundamental resources. As a community, we must work collaboratively to address our homeless crisis. This includes non-profits, drug rehabilitation and mental health professionals, business, and community leaders. We also need to ensure we are maintaining current services and housing facilities. I have so much compassion for our homeless, yet their rights do not surpass those of law-abiding Stocktonians who work and live in our city daily.

Improving our Quality of Life
Stockton has a solid foundation of incredible parks, delectable restaurants, quality shopping and vibrant cultural offerings. Yet, there is so much more we can do to improve our quality of life. I have been partnering with business owners and stakeholders for years in my efforts to assist the working poor. These leaders know how to think outside the box while ensuring every dollar counts. As your council member, I will continue to work with Stockton leaders to grow our city responsibly while maintaining essential services. I will also invest in public safety and initiatives that create better-paying jobs. We must also support and work collaboratively with our school districts and educational institutions to ensure our students have the tools to succeed in new career opportunities.
